Caffeine/Energy drink Warning! By Wendy Mundy Warning!!! I read an article about all those energy drinks that are so popular these days with the kids and adults too and wanted to tell you that they are very dangerous. The caffeine levels are VERY high in them and it can cause so very nasty side affects. One brand Redline Power Rush- 2.5 ounces has...drum roll...350mg of caffeine in it! WiredX505 (24 Ounc.) = 505mg BooKoo (24 Ounc.)= 360mg Fixx(20 Ounc)= 500mg Red Line reg.(8 Ounc.)= 250mg No Fear(16 Ounc)=174mg Monster (16 Ounc)=160mg Rockstar(16 Ounc)=160mg Full Throttle (16 Ounc)=144mg Red Bull(8.3 Ounc)= 80mg That is a lot of caffeine and must cans don't tell you how much there is or what might happen if you drink to many. The rate of caffeine abuse or caffeine intoxication has gone up in resent years as reported by the U.S. poison control center. 40 plus cases and some of those cases the people were as young as 13! If you would like more info just ask and please if you let your kids drink the stuff PLEASE try to get them to stop.
